As of late I have been asking myself, for no obvious reason, when a youngtimer becomes a classic car. It seems there is no real definite answer. But this doesn't keep me from trying to find out. Generally 25 years is taken as rule, or at least by governments.

RM Auctions raked in top prices yet again at their 'Ferrari - Legenda and Passione' sale. Most expensive item was the Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder which was sold for €7.040.000.

The new euroboss season will start this year at the Jim Clark Revival at Hockenheim this April. The excting series for big open single seater cars, but of course mainly old F1 cars, will be racing at 7 (possibly 8) European circuits this season.

The day looked to be a going to be a bloody good one. There was sun, not a lot of wind and plenty of great cars. The classic Zandvoort trophy couldn't go terribly wrong, that was sure from the start. Also partly helped by the passing of a wonderful Facel Facellia while on the way to the paddock.

Bernie’s multi-million pound collection shined at London sale, while others grab serious bargains. Of the big European auctions of the last year, the Ecclestone collection sale hosted by RM auctions was probaply the highlight. The array of cars under the hammer in London at the end of October was simply breathtaking;
