 Normally one would describe a Swede as blond hair, blue eyes and being as temperamental as say, a barn owl. But with Gunnar Nilsson this was slightly different; on his head whirled dark hair with eyes to match, he looked like he was from Sicily or some other mediterranean isle. Nilsson was born in Sweden though, to be precise in Helsingborg in 1948, son of real estate magnate Arvid Nilsson and Elisabeth Nilsson. |

 This year we introduce the first annual GoGoGo awards for the greatest classic, racing and sports car highs and lows of the year 2008.  It seems that all great people’s cars are built under some kind of regime. We had the VW Beetle, which was of course the brainchild of the not so nice man with moustache. We had the Mini, not exactly built by a regime, but BMC comes close. Bring on the Russian communist Lada, and we have a whole array of cars which sold by millions. But what’s missing? Well the Trabant of course, another example of the people’s car. |

 Fierce rivalry between the two great nations is not only reserved to football and rugby, back in the early seventies motorsport had its share of the almost ever-lasting mistrust between the two countries seperated only 37kms from each other. |
