Sturdy Bruce Willis in one of his cars.Various cars of Bruce Willis' collection and belongings of Steve 'King of Cool' McQueen are being auctioned this weekend at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Southern California. As well as many other interesting automobilia like posters, advertisements, commerative roundels, number plates, glasses, motorbikes, the list goes on and on and on.

The unique and quintessentially Southern Californian, or “SoCal”, auction featuring all things automotive – cars, bikes, hot rods and related memorabilia – is once again approaching.

Now in its sixth year, the world’s premier auction house, Bonhams & Butterfields, is proud to be hosting their annual autumn motoring sale at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, held in conjunction with the Love Ride, the world’s largest one-day motorcycle charity event.

Already highlighting the sale will be effects once belonging to the King of Cool, Hollywood mega star Steve McQueen, from the private collection of his former wife, Niele McQueen Toffel.

Furthermore, cars owned by legendary action hero Bruce Willis will be headlining the list of cars offered, including a 1968 Shelby GT-500 convertible, 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400 convertible, and 1957 Chevrolet Corvette convertible, to name just a couple.

In what has become the signature of this highly anticipated event, an array of items from some of the biggest names in popular culture was also featured at last year’s headline-making sale, such as the collection of never-before-offered Von Dutch property and motorbikes from screen legends Clark Gable and Charles Bronson, to name but a few.

If previous sales are any indication, this year’s Bonhams auction at the Petersen Museum, with its one-of-a-kind and celebrity infused collections, can expect to attract a bevy of international buyers and strong bidding.

Thankfully though this auction seems to be very accessible for buyers with rather shallow pockets as most car don't go above $100,000. Worth a look?
